SOME ASPECTS OF COMPOUND WORDS IN KURDISH ACCORDING TO TRANSFORMATIONAL RULES: CENTRAL KIRMANJI AS A SAMPLE

Abstract

This research entitled " Some aspects of compound words in Kurdish according to transformational rules : central kirmanji as a sample" of twe sections. The first section which is a theortical one deals with studying and analyzing compound words in terms of surface structure and deep structure to identify the origin, kind and features of each type and the way by which it is formed.

The second section, on the other hand ,which is a practical one, includes exploiting and applying some transformational rules to compound words particularly syntactic compound words and identifying the most important transformational rules by which the process of tranasformation is made to form this type of compound words the most important of which are deletion, for grounding, postposing and substitution. At the end of the research ,the researcher mentions the most important conclusions arrived at and the list of references.
