IDENTIFY THE SOFT SKILLS OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE LEADERSHIPS AND THEIR IMPACT ON ORGANIZATIONAL IMPROVISATION

Abstract

This research aims to identify the soft skills of the administrative leaderships and their impact on organizational improvisation; through a sample of the administrative leadership in some of the colleges at the University of Duhok.  A questionnaire was used to collect data in the field. The sample consisted of (66) individuals, including Deans of the Colleges, Assistants Deans, Heads of Departments, and Head of administrative units.

Numerous statistical methods were used to test hypotheses of this research, and to explore the nature of the correlation between the variables of the research. The findings of the research revealed of a positive correlation between soft skills of leaders and his or her ability to solve the organizational improvisation problems, which need instant solution.

The research put a number of suggestions, the most important of which was the need to develop and find new crisis management skills and charismatic skills of the administrative leaders at the university and its colleges used in the sample, because it is one of the most important necessaries to face the emergency cases which needs high levels of the organizational improvisation.
