THE REPERCUSSIONS OF THE GENERAL BUDGET ON THE INVESTMENT ACTIVITY IN THE KURDISTAN REGION - IRAQ FOR THE PERIOD (2006-2013)

Abstract

The study aims at analyzing and assessing the contribution of changes in fiscal policy in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, represented by changes in the size and structure of the budget in promoting investment activity. And in an attempt to answer the question, does the policy contribute to coincide in the Kurdistan region in providing adequate conditions for the appropriate investment climate to stimulate investment activity. Assuming that the public budget of the Kurdistan Regional Government in the period 2006-2012 and facilities granted in the investment law did not contribute effectively to attract investment for its inability to provide the appropriate atmosphere. The results showed that the law includes exemptions and wide attractive facilities will presumably contain many attractions for domestic and foreign investors and this contributed to increasing investment activity after years following the Act of investing in the region.
