Causes of Death in Duhok Governorate for the Years 2010, 2013 and 2016; Comparative Study in Population Geography

Abstract

Death causes of human beings are varies that is why this research is titled (Causes of death in Duhok Governorate for the years 2010, 2013, 201 Comparative study in population geography), the study aims at explaining the main causes of death in Duhok governorate, as well as studying the variation in the qualitative structure of the deceased. These data are considered the basic issues for countries, both in small regions and in the whole country. As they show the medical and health development of the region as well as the social level. The reasons between the natural and social rates show the level of progress of the region and therefore the state. The research was divided into four axes the first included causes of death and the qualitative composition of the deceased in 2010, the second and third are involved the same but for the years 2013 and 2016, While the fourth was to extract death rates by cause during the study period and then to compare these rates. The study found that most of the causes of death in Duhok are heart and brain disease cancer and respiratory diseases. The overall mortality rate among males is higher than that of females as it reached about 60% in males compared to 40% in females throughout the study period, and it was found that the mortality rates in the decline is continuing for most of the reasons cited in the research, which are optimistic indicators.
